The EU+MAP project addresses the urgent need to create alternative learning paths that will reach participants with difficult preconditions to learn. EU+MAP creates motivating languages courses that consider the emotional dimension of the learners. Moreover, the implementation of innovative teaching strategies implies not only pedagogic backgrounds but also experience with the target groups, time investment for the development and piloting teaching phases.

The project objectives are the following:
  1. Objective 1 is to improve the competences of educators that will lead to overall improvements and effectiveness in provision of migrants’ adult education. The project proposes guidelines, trainings and tools with innovatively implemented emotional teaching methods based on the storytelling and positive experience sharing approaches to raise awareness on teachers on how the emotional dimension can affect language classes. Trainers involved in this partnership create methodological manuals, digital tools and upskilling sessions that present, describe, explain and create alternative language teaching programs for migrants.
  2. Objective 2 is to create upskilling pathways for adult migrants and to improve accessibility of adult language provision to vulnerable groups with unfavorable preconditions to learn. The language courses are supported by a pedagogical curriculum with a positive experiential pedagogic approach based on storytelling activities.
  3. Objective 3 of this project is to invite migrants to focus on their positive impression of Europe and to share their personal experiences to promote social inclusion. The digital map’s final aim is to present different personal nice experiences migrants went through in Europe.
