{"id":9620,"date":"2026-10-23T09:41:42","date_gmt":"2026-10-23T09:41:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/activecitizens.eu\/?p=9620"},"modified":"2026-10-23T09:41:43","modified_gmt":"2026-10-23T09:41:43","slug":"ai-ready-schools-interim-transnational-project-meeting-in-athens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/activecitizens.eu\/el\/ai-ready-schools-interim-transnational-project-meeting-in-athens\/","title":{"rendered":"AI Ready Schools, Interim Transnational Project Meeting in Athens"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 8\u20139 October 2026, Active Citizens Partnership (ACP) had the pleasure of hosting the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/aireadyschools?__cft__[0]=AZidQZ0tIkF_P8lCDoVqw1bEqDuLuctnFnRkIssZJHYpSjA4ylo5iAhXiDpxyMyCt_AxTCrBaRIbFeJaeyiZsr_h3dn0rFdmahatSrgLC5ZLCu5vkaSKPBNJa1t4T6dZGdQOcPeaL10hEwjz8fCc-BsK1r0fYUl5ybH_z6z8UUjbgByWUDyeqZBmPNQ&amp;__tn__=-]K-R\">AI Ready Schools<\/a> project\u2019s Interim Transnational Project Meeting in Athens, Greece, bringing together our European partners for two days of collaboration, reflection and planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As we move into the second year of the project, our discussions focused on a central question: How can we move from developing AI readiness frameworks and resources to making a meaningful difference in classrooms?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd39\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t92\/2\/16\/1f539.png\"> AI Ready Schools (WP2): We reviewed the results of our work with schools, reflected on piloting experiences and lessons learned, and explored how these findings can inform the next stages of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd39\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t92\/2\/16\/1f539.png\"> AI Ready Teachers (WP3): We discussed the development of our teacher professional development programme, focusing on practical, pedagogically meaningful approaches that empower educators to integrate AI into teaching and learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd39\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t92\/2\/16\/1f539.png\"> AI Ready Students (WP4): A key discussion focused on connecting teacher development with student learning. AI-ready teachers are essential to developing AI-ready students, but the ultimate goal is to help young people understand, critically evaluate and responsibly use AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd39\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t92\/2\/16\/1f539.png\"> Learning from the AI Cookbook: We explored how practical AI teaching recipes and classroom activities can inspire our approach to teacher training and student engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd39\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t92\/2\/16\/1f539.png\"> Impact, dissemination and sustainability: We considered how to measure meaningful educational impact, share our results and ensure that the project's outcomes continue to benefit schools beyond its lifetime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udca1\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/tdb\/2\/16\/1f4a1.png\"> One important takeaway from our discussions: AI readiness is not simply about learning to use AI tools.
